In our case, the first funding came from grants totalling £75,000 via the Government’s Technology Strategy Board. The UK remains less mature than America – early finance is available but it can be hard to access. The funding issue is especially important. We also knew that putting ourselves in the heart of Silicon Valley would be critical in building key relationships with investors while helping is to stay ahead of trends and establish ourselves as an industry leader. We wanted to bring even more focus to our B2B partnerships and this was a great way to be closer and more accessible to our customers, all of whom have bases in the Bay Area. It was a tough decision, but we felt it was important for a number of reasons.
